The Arabic Language House is an initiative that provides students with a living environment where they can practice Arabic beyond the classroom. The name "Baituna" was chosen by students, which means "our home" in Arabic, to symbolize their connection to the language house. The language house is located in Ragans Hall at FSU and consists of three apartments where eight Arabic language students reside with a native Arabic speaker serving as a teaching assistant. Three weekly activities are organized in each of the apartments, including a cooking workshop, a movie screening, and a game night. These activities allow students to immerse themselves in Arabic culture and language. By participating in the language house, students can experience the benefits of language exchange programs while staying in the comfort of their apartments.
